Deacon Team Ministry
Our deacons are a group of individuals nominated by our Nominating Committee and elected by our congregation during our Fall business meeting to be “first among equals” in serving the needs of the congregation and our community.
Team Ministry
Our deacons are divided into teams to serve specific areas that match their gifts and passions. If you’d like to join one or more of these teams, please contact team leaders for more detailed information regarding each ministry team.

Senior Adult Ministry: led by Jack Davis and Bobby Huskey. This team provides physical, emotional and spiritual assistance to our senior adults.
- Bereavement Ministry: led by Kathryn Copeland and Joyce Davis. This team ministers to those affected by a loved one’s death.
- Casserole Ministry: led by George Carter. This team delivers dinners to individuals and families during times of need.
- Homebound Ministry: led by Drue Martin and Jack Davis. This team seeks to care and encourage those who find themselves confined to their homes or retirement/nursing centers.
- Guests and New Members Team: led by Chuck Daniel. This team seeks to extend a friendly, caring connection to people new to Farmville or to Farmville Baptist, and to help new members feel included and connected to others in the church.
Family Ministry
The Deacons are ministers to the church and are available to the membership and friends for ministry needs. Please call a deacon if you have a need.
