Location

Farmville Baptist Church is located in Farmville, a town of about 6,800. Situated in the heart of Virginia, between Lynchburg to the west and Richmond to the east, Farmville is the county seat for Prince Edward County. While Farmville retains its small-town charm, it is also the home to Longwood University (total enrollment: 4,400), and just 5 miles from Hampden-Sydney College (total enrollment: 1,060). These institutions of higher education provide Farmville many educational, athletic and cultural offerings that one would not find in a town of similar size. It also provides an opportunity for the church to have a significant ministry to collegiate young adults.

Farmville Baptist is located in the heart of downtown Farmville, on 132 North Main Street, between the County Courthouse and Pairet’s, and within walking distance from both Longwood University and Green Front Furniture.

Parking

While we have limited off-street parking right in front of the church on Main Street, we have plenty of parking behind the church building. You can access the church parking lot by East Third Street. There are also open lots free on Sundays that are across the street behind the church.

Entrances to the Church

For Sunday morning worship, most people who park on Main Street enter the sanctuary through the front steps. Those who park behind the church building enter in the back entrance.

If you enter from the back, go up a flight of steps and the sanctuary will be to your right.

We have two handicap-accessible entrances–one from Main Street that will take you to the sanctuary, and the other from the back parking lot that will take you into the Fellowship Hall.
