Praying for Haiti . . .
Posted on January 14th, 2010
On Tuesday, January 12th, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the island of Haiti. The center of the quake hit about 10 miles southwest of Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s capital. According to the Red Cross, it is estimated that nearly one-third of Haiti’s population were affected by the quake.
We are collecting medical supplies for the people in Haiti at our worships service this Sunday, February 21. Please download this file to see what supplies are needed.
In addition to your prayers for Haiti, below are some links to provide ways you can help.

July 12th, 2010 at 12:23 amI actually used to work for long hours in the Red Cross Blood Donor Center and I honestly savored the education… This was certainly a marvelous post to read seeing that it reminded me of my traditional teaching…
If you don’t mind, I have got a couple inquiries for you.
1. Just how much time did it take you in order to come up with this one contribution?
2]Are you planning to be doing a great deal more? -

July 12th, 2010 at 12:07 pmThanks so much for your comment! It took us several weeks to come up with the contribution, and right now, we are not planning on doing more. But as a church affiliated with the Baptist General Association of Virginia, we will support their long-term relief efforts (http://www.vbmb.org/glocalmissions/Disaster-Relief/100112_Haiti-Earthquake/default.cfm) in whatever ways we can. Blessings to you!
