Praying for Farmville

Posted on September 23rd, 2009

praying_webThis week, our community is experiencing a tragedy as four bodies were found in a home in the Avenues neighborhood late last week.  Coverage of this incident can be found here.

Yesterday, officials identified the bodies as those of Mark Niederbrock, supply pastor at Walker’s Presbyterian Church in Hixburg, his wife Debra Kelley, a Longwood University professor; Emma Niederbrock, the daughter of Kelley and Niederbrock; and Melanie Wells of Inwood, W.Va.

We pray for the victims’ families, and for the suspect, Richard Alden Samuel McCorsky III from California, and his family.

Please also keep this community in your prayers as many people knew the family and are shocked by what happened.
