“Get a Life!” Sermon Series
Starting in September, Michael will be preaching a sermon series called “Get a Life!” The series is based on a book called Get a Life! It Is All About You by Reggie McNeal, a church leadership specialist. The focus scripture for this series is from John 10:10: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” During these five Sundays, the following questions will be addressed:
9/6 “Why am I here?”
9/13 “What is important to me?”
9/20 “What is my scorecard?”
9/27 “What am I really good at?”
10/4 “What do I need to learn?”
(You can click on the links to download the audio file of the sermon.)
“Get a Life!” Sunday School Class
In conjunction with the sermon series, Pastor Michael Cheuk will be teaching a five-week Sunday School class from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall called “Get a Life!” To get the most of the study, you might want to order Get a Life! It Is All About You by Reggie McNeal. The class will consist of a brief lecture and small-group discussion about how we can live the abundant life that God intended for us to live.
Each Sunday, the class will address the questions stated above. We will not be able to answer fully each of these questions, but the hope is that these questions will stimulate us to examine our lives so that we may live more fully into the lives that God has intended for us as individuals and as a church. All adults and youth are invited to the study.
